Strawberry Wine
Strawberries make a very delicate wine with their subtle tartness, slight earthiness and hint of natural sweetness. Strawberries are commonly served slightly sweetened or with a sweet accompaniment for desserts, so if that is your preference you will best enjoy a semi-sweet or sweet condition. We hesitate to recommend a sweetness for this wine, as it is very enjoyable at all levels of sweetness.
We advise it is best consumed young as it has a tendency to assume more of a brandy characteristic as it ages. Our serving recommendation would vary with the sweetness you select. Perhaps dry for an enjoyable evening of sipping. Semi-dry with a salad or shellfish? Semi-sweet with fish or more robust meal or sweet for an after dinner dessert!
Our recommended sweetness for this wine is the semi-dry to most closely resemble the sweetness level of the natural fruit. It is wonderful at whatever sweetness suits your taste!
